Chorale Castenchel Choir is a community choir based in the beautiful Gatineau Hills. The choir sings choral music of all kinds – from classical to folk, popular, jazz and international – led by our music Director, Lee Carter.
Castenchel Choir is excited for our 2025/26 season!
On December 13, A Festive Feast! will celebrate the flavours of the season — from eggnog and tourtière to a whimsical three-decker sauerkraut and toadstool sandwich with arsenic sauce! Featuring local favourites Ruckustodian!
Thank you to our Silver Sponsor Marché Richelieu, and our Bronze Sponsor Team Paul Lemelin for your generous support of this concert.
On May 22, we present a major collaboration, Better is Peace, at the Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre with Nepean Choir, Nepean High School Choir, and The Ottawa Symphony Orchestra. Bass Matthew Li and mezzo-soprano Gabrielle Comeau-Gort will join us once again.
The program features:
The Listeners by Pulitzer Prize–winning composer Caroline Shaw, inspired by Carl Sagan’s “Golden Record” sent into space on the NASA Voyager probes.
The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace by Welsh composer Karl Jenkins, a moving work commissioned to mark the new millennium, reflecting on past wars and expressing hope for peace.
We can’t wait to share these performances with you this season!
